New Vince Vaughn Comedy Soars to #1 Spot on Netflix and I Can't Wait to Watch

Vince Vaughn and comedies go hand-in-hand like peanut butter and jelly, which is why it's no surprise that his latest film, Nonnas, is the current number one hit on Netflix.

Over 15 million viewers have reportedly given this film a watch over the past three days, giving it the top spot for the week. Nonnas stars Vaughn as skilled chef Joe Scaravilla, who, after losing his beloved mother, risks everything to honor her by opening an Italian restaurant with his actual nonnas (aka his Italian grandmothers), as the chefs. The film also stars Susan Sarandon, Joe Manganiello and Linda Cardellini, and currently holds an 81 percent rating on Rotten Tomatoes. And that's not all—aside from reaching the top spot on Netflix in the United States, Nonnas has also hit the top ten in the United Kingdom, Brazil, South America, Singapore and Australia.

Judging from the reviews, people are loving the heartwarming flick for its feel good, comedic vibes. "Feel good movie. Very refreshing. All actors have done justice to their role. Vince Vaughn stars in a calm character role, which you typically do expect from him. By the end of it, I felt like I wanted to start a restaurant,!" writes one reviewer.

"A feel good movie with a great message about the importance of family traditions centered around food. Great to see the cast of older actresses and see their acting talent," adds another.

It's no wonder that the film is resonating with viewers. The plot is actually based on the real-life true story of Scaravilla, a former transportation worker who opened up an Italian restaurant in Staten Island, NY to honor his late mother. And the restaurant, Enoteca Maria, is still up and running today!
