Some of my fondest memories growing up revolved around my and my mother's love of shopping. Even as young as 7 or 8, I remember the moments when my mother would whisk me away to her favorite stores at the International Mall in Tampa. Though I was often impatient and would've rather been carefully selecting a plushie from the stuffed animal mountain at the Disney store, there was always something special about visiting the Brighton jewelers with her.

The women who worked there were kind and attentive, always offering mini branded water bottles and cookies to me and my brother while mom would pore over the counter at all of the intricate jewels and gems. Brighton, known for its whimsigoth-esque mixed-metal creations, charm bracelets and pendant necklaces, was definitely ahead of its time—and, truth be told, kicked off the trends we're seeing reemerge today as '90s and early '00s styles make their way back to the forefront.

It got me thinking: What does today's Brighton carry? And would I, a zillennial, be rocking the same styles as my beloved mother? The answers to each are 1. major goodies and 2. a definite yes. After some digging, I found that Brighton is still the beacon of bejeweled charm that it was when I was a kid. So, without further ado, here are six styles to snap up from the cherished mall brand (in honor of Gen X moms everywhere).

Per the name, this two-toned metal ring is inspired by the planet Neptune with its alluring celestial rings. The piece itself creates the illusion of a ring stack, featuring various "rings" with designs like chain link, woven rope, stamped and studded that are melded together to mimic the look of multiple. I don't know about you, but this is giving me major Practical Magic vibes.

Nothing says whimsy quite like a chunky charm bracelet—and they've been on a serious uptick lately, from bags to shoelaces. Brighton has been on the charm train from the get-go, and the retailer is known for its signature heart pendants. This particular piece from the One Heart collection is an ode to the styles of Brighton's past. Symbolizing love in all its forms, the bracelet features 17 different heart charms, including ones that are colorfully hand-enameled, two-tone, silver, gold and accented with hand-set crystals. It's adjustable between 7 and 8 inches in length and secures with a lobster claw closure.

And what would a charm bracelet be without a matching necklace?! Also part of Brighton's One Heart collection, this 15-heart necklace features many of the same charms as the bracelet, but with one big difference: The central heart pendant is fashioned to look like a locket, which just so happens to be trending for summer 2025. The pendant has a drop of 1.5 inches and the chain's length is adjustable from 24 inches to 28 inches. And I just love that this piece is dripping in '90s nostalgia.

As we've been seeing more and more pendant necklaces making the rounds, it made me excited about this colorful number. Available in a pastel version or a bolder color combo, this silver-plated heart is decked out in fine quality crystals. Finished with a lobster claw closure, it's adjustable in length from 18 to 20 inches with a 1.25-inch pendant drop. Plus, the back of the pendant is inscribed with the words "Trust your journey..." for some personal motivation. It has all the makings of a signature piece for the coolest aunt in the room.

Merging the masculine and feminine, this Interlok ring centers a Hercules knot—a symbol of undying love and commitment—with extended arms. It's crafted with two-tone metal in silver and gold, making it a small-but-mighty statement piece. My favorite part? The hidden heart in the back that adds an extra touch of love and connection.

It wouldn't be right to talk about Brighton without also mentioning its beloved leather accessories, from handbags to wallets and belts. Leaning into the trendy cherry red hue, this Italian leather card case adds a pop of color to any purse and still retains its nostalgic charm with a mini Alcazar heart embellishment at its center. Complete with the words "Make every moment count" embossed in silver lettering, this giftable design has enough room for four cards and can be easily slipped into a pocket for a hands-free night.
