Excitedly counting down the days until your next Disney trip? I know the feeling. Though you’ve already booked your Airbnb and printed out our handy Disney World packing list—including everything from toiletries and electronics to kid-related essentials—you may still be stumped on outfit planning, especially when it comes to yourself. (Sure, the twins can rock a matching Cars set from Zara, but what’s a full-grown woman supposed to wear to the happiest place on Earth?) With comfort as my guiding light, here are five Disney outfits for women to wear on your next park day, according to someone who’s been there over a dozen times.

5 Cute and Comfortable Disney Outfits for Women

1. Athletic Dress + Lightweight Puffer Jacket + Belt Bag
The secret to an easy outfit that’s theme park-friendly and pairs well with the Florida or California heat? A workout dress. I love that this one-hit sartorial wonder is all you need to pull together a simple yet photo-worthy look. Plus, as the name implies, workout dresses are designed with exercise in mind, meaning you can comfortably rack up that step count from rope drop to park close. Be sure to look for one with built-in shorts (bonus points if it has pockets), so you can chase the kids around Frontierland without worrying about any potential wardrobe malfunctions. I also love sticking to breathable fabrics like nylon and spandex to help stave off smells and wick away sweat.
If you’re traveling to Disney in the winter months, a lightweight puffer jacket that’s packable (and water resistant) is a great layering piece to pair with an athletic dress, especially if you plan on staying past sundown for the evening fireworks. Throw on a Disney-approved belt bag and you’ve got a low-effort outfit that’s stylish and functional.

2. Leggings + Button-Down + Baseball Hat
A solid pair of black leggings will never steer you wrong, and when it comes to outfit styling, they’re one of my favorite blank canvases to work from. For an effortless look that’s more laid back than done up, pair your favorite leggings with a breathable button-down—think cotton, linen or even seersucker—and top it all off with a baseball cap for a fun pop of color that will also help keep the sun off your face (bonus points if it’s Pixar-themed).

3. Jeans + White Tank Top + Mickey Mouse Ears
Money-saving tip from one of our very own: Rachel Bowie, senior director of special projects and royals, suggests picking up a pair of Mickey ears before heading into the parks. “Try to anticipate the gift shop items you and your kids are going to want, from Minnie Mouse ears to vintage-looking sweatshirts. Then remember that in-the-park prices are astronomical.” She loves hitting up sites like Amazon, Etsy, Target and the Disney Store (which often has sales) for more affordable options, then pairing them with a comfortable pair of jeans and a basic white tank top for a look that captures the fun of Disney (and appeases her Toy Story-loving 7-year-old) without any over-the-top theming.

4. Overalls + Baby Tee + Loungefly Backpack
If matching family T-shirts aren’t your thing, opt for a comfortable baby tee and layer it underneath a classic pair of overalls. I love that this look is reminiscent of childhood, but still feels grown-up and intentional. For an added touch of Disney magic that’s both cute and functional, pick up a Loungefly backpack—the must-have accessory of parkgoers and Disney fans alike. Whether mini or full-size, Loungefly backpacks feature detailed designs inspired by your favorite Disney characters (like this adorable Donald Duck option) and can hold all of your vacation essentials, including sunscreen, snacks and hand sanitizer. With seasonal releases and limited-edition drops sparking insider obsession, they’ve become so much more than a fashion statement—so start your collection now.

5. Biker Shorts + Oversize Graphic T-Shirt + Jean Jacket
For another outfit that’s more cool than kitschy, opt for an oversize graphic T-shirt paired with a soft yet supportive pair of bike shorts. The contrasting proportions help maintain balance within your overall look (loose up top, fitted on bottom). Layering a jean jacket over the top provides additional depth and dimension, not to mention added warmth or sun protection, depending on your travel window.

And one thing that goes with just about any Disney outfit? A comfortable pair of shoes (see a few of my favorites below). Sneakers with arch support and a good amount of cushioning will be your saving grace after a long day of standing in lines and walking around the parks. I also prefer to stick with shoes that are lightweight, have good traction and are relatively breathable (think a mesh or knit upper) to help keep your feet cool, especially in the Orlando or Anaheim heat.
Above all, comfort is king when it comes to a Disney vacation, so choose an outfit you’d be happy to wear from dawn till dusk—and wouldn’t mind posing in front of Cinderella’s Castle in.
