Flashback to 2019 when Meghan Markle popped by Wimbledon to cheer on pal Serena Williams alongside a couple of friends. Eagle-eyed royal watchers spotted her bag choice immediately: Upon entering the All England Lawn Tennis Club that July, the Duchess of Sussex was seen carrying Cuyana’s Classic Leather Tote in black and personalized with her initial, “M.” Now, nearly six years later, Princess Eugenie, who recently defended the standing of her relationship with Prince Harry and Meghan, was spotted in London carrying the exact same sold-out and editor-beloved style (similar here, $268).

Alongside her sister Princess Beatrice, Princess Eugenie was pictured attending the MR PORTER Steakhouse restaurant opening in London. The royal looked as though she was coming straight from the office and was wearing a black sweater, a black maxi skirt and was carrying the Cuyana staple—also in black, though it was tough to spot whether or not Eugenie’s bag was monogrammed or not.
Like I said, the Classic Tote is from a previous Cuyana collection and long sold-out, but the Easy Tote is a near-identical offering, relaunched by the brand in 2022, and one that at least three PureWow editors—myself included—have invested in.

What’s to love about it? Beyond the color range (there are 7 hues in total), this is a bag that’s as lightweight as it is buttery soft. The Italian leather looks luxe and holds up well to daily use, but it also fits all the things you need to carry. (As a working mom, I often worry that I’m putting this elegant tote through too much, carrying my laptop, my paper planner, numerous organized pouches and more, but it’s a bag that’s built to last—and at an affordable price point, too.) It also comes with two handle lengths, so you can wear it on your shoulder or grab it easily to go.
Different bag, similar royally-approved vibe. No wonder both Meghan and Eugenie love it.
