I’m a bit of a sucker for kooky jewelry. My collection is chock-full of statement pieces like an orange beaded lobster necklace, delicate tulle daylily earrings and even a gold chain with miniature Baskin Robbins ice cream charms. So of course I’ve been thrilled to see seashell jewelry making a big upswing for summer 2025. That said, you don’t need to be a maximalist to rock this beach-inspired trend—there are tons of incredibly elegant, more subtle takes to be found in addition to the bold and colorful. Here, 14 seashell jewelry pieces that are more chic than kitschy, and that will be the perfect finishing touch to any summer outfit.

I'm 5’2”—Can I Pull Off Polka Dots (1 of Spring’s Hottest Trends)?

I actually own these earrings in both silver and gold, that’s just how much I adore them. They’re the ideal nod to the beach and the baroque pearl is such a fun bohemian touch. I’ve worn them to just about any kind of event: wedding receptions, work meetings, brunch with my sisters—and they pair incredibly well with both dressy frocks and cotton tees. They’re not the lightest earrings I own, but I wouldn’t call them heavy either, and I’m never itching to take them off ever after a full day of wear. That said, there’s also a mini version, the Lucille earrings ($110), if you prefer something a bit smaller.

Just be sure to remove before showering or taking a dip to keep that gold plating gleaming like new for as long as possible.

Choose between sterling silver or 18k gold vermeil, then slip this stunning pendant onto your favorite necklace chain or hoop earrings for a unique seashell moment all your own. Both metal options have been made with special attention to durability, but it is still recommended you remove them before hitting the waves on your next beach vacation.

For a French take on the trend, I suggest these spiral seashell earrings from Sézane. They’re hollow on the backside to ensure your ears won’t feel too bogged down, weighing just 0.5 ounces. As for styling, do as the French do and use these stunners to zhuzh up some vintage jeans and a breezy blouse.

Anklets are one of my favorite summer accessories, so of course I’ve got my eyes on a little seashell version to add to my collection. This duo consists of one red cord anklet adorned with a single cowpie shell and two blue beads for a pop of color, as well as a white, pink and wood bead anklet. The combination gives off incredible SoCal surf vibes that just can’t be beat.

What may look like strings of pearls on either side of that gold charm as actually mini, pearly-white conch shells. Yes, this beauty fulfills your seashell needs from all angles, and it’s ideal for accessorizing a cocktail dress or formal frock for your next special event this summer. P.S. You can always add this adorable little green fish charm if you want a pop of color.

It was the pearlescent shells that first grabbed my attention, but the bezel-set crystal accents are what really stole my heart. These earrings are incredibly lightweight and are bound to make a statement no matter what you wear them with. Per one 5-star reviewer, “These earrings are so fun! They are just sparkly enough for me to wear to my son’s beach wedding. I was worried they would he heavy but aren’t. They will add a pop to my outfit!”

OK, so a starfish isn’t actually a seashell, but the summer-ready effect remains the same. This textured charm is made of recycled brass with a gold plating to give it that extra dose of glimmer. And at just under 20 inches long, this necklace will pair well with so many different necklines. Just be sure to choose something in a solid color to really let the starfish steal the show.

11. Mignonne Gavigan Emmi Necklace

Mignonne Gavigan

This one is for the maximalists (myself included)! A menagerie of color, shape and texture, this necklace is designed to stand out, even if you’re rocking a busy print or additional statement earring. The chain is adjustable to be worn anywhere between 15 and 17 inches in length, and reviewers say it looks incredibly luxe in person.

This quad of delicate gold-plated shells would be cute all on their own, but the addition of four tiny pearls makes them an absolute must have, in my opinion. The drop design can be worn for a multitude of occasions, but my favorite is definitely with a strappy tank for dinner and drinks with friends. And because these earrings are so lightweight, you won’t be itching to take them off, even if those drinks turn into a night of dancing.

Another starfish beauty, this collar necklace is designed to fit close to the neck and is 15 inches long with a 3-inch extender to give you some additional wiggle room with sizing. Just remember to remove it before hitting the waves to best maintain that gold plating.

A string of flat baroque pearls is exactly the kind of chain I want to pair with a dainty gold seashell charm for an elegant beach-inspired look. Better yet, this Avaria beauty is 100-percent waterproof, so you don’t have to stress about sweat or water damaging your new favorite statement piece. Now all you need is a beach vacation on which to wear this stunner.
