She's such a pro

Beyoncé's Cowboy Carter Tour is officially in full swing, and after kicking off on April 28 in Inglewood, the singer wrapped up her fifth night at the city's SoFi Stadium on May 9. As with any major production, it's no surprise when there are a few technical hiccups along the way, and this time, the moment was nothing major—just a funny, lighthearted misstep that I (and even Beyoncé) couldn't help but laugh at.

During the May 9 show, the Texas native was seated on her golden throne during a segment of the performance. As part of the act, a robot is supposed to pour her a drink into a glass placed on the armrest. But on this night, the robot completely missed the cup. Footage captured by a fan shows Beyoncé reaching for the glass, only to realize the robot had failed its task. For a brief moment, the "Cozy" singer had a look of confusion on her face before breaking into a quick laugh.

But true to her professionalism, Beyoncé didn’t miss a beat. As the saying goes, “the show must go on,” and she quickly regained her composure, continuing on with the performance like a pro.

The fan who shared the video captioned it: “Beyoncé wanted to laugh so bad… she looked up at the robot like it wasn’t a robot.” And I, along with fans in the comments, were equally amused by the moment.

One person wrote, "Beyoncé is so unserious," while another added, "I think this is so funny." A third chimed in, "The way she makes eye contact with it is the funniest part to me." A fourth commented, "I'm enjoying these silly moments on tour so much lmao," while another joked, "Robot gettin’ fired."

Next up for the Cowboy Carter Tour is a three-show stint at Chicago’s Soldier Field. Let’s hope all the kinks are officially worked out by then.

And side note—maybe robots taking over our jobs isn’t as imminent as we thought.
