After her unexpected absence from this year’s Royal Ascot, fans of the Princess of Wales have been wondering when they'll next catch a glimpse of Kate Middleton. Well, according to new reports, we may not have to wait too long.

Royal Editor for The Daily Mail Rebecca English, says it’s “very likely” that Princess Catherine will make an appearance at Wimbledon, which kicks off Monday, June 30 and runs through Sunday, July 13. Given her role as royal patron of the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club—and her long-standing love of tennis—it makes perfect sense.

But if Wimbledon doesn’t end up being her first public appearance, there's still another big event on the horizon.

English reports that Catherine is expected to play a “significant” role during the French State Visit, scheduled to take place at Windsor Castle from July 8 to 10. That means either way, the Princess is likely to be seen within the next two weeks.

This would mark her first public appearance since missing Royal Ascot on June 18. She had been set to attend the event alongside Prince William, who was presenting a trophy that day. In fact, the official carriage list released by the racecourse included both of them. But shortly after, Kensington Palace announced that Catherine would not be attending after all, adding that she was “disappointed” to miss the outing.

So, whether it’s Wimbledon or Windsor, Catherine’s return to the public eye is coming soon—and I'm looking forward to seeing not just where she shows up but what she wears when she does.
