Kate Middleton and Prince William Just Posted on IG—But Not About Princess Lilibet's Birthday

I guess it's a big day for the royals

June 4 is a big day for one royal family member. It's Princess Lilibet's fourth birthday. The youngest of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's children (and the youngest grandchild to King Charles) hit a milestone today. The Duchess of Sussex took to social media to celebrate the big day sharing two stunning black-and-white photos (Thank you, Meghan). And other royals have also taken to social media today...just not about Princess Lilibet's birthday.

Prince William and Kate Middleton's Instagram account shared a snapshot today from William's visit to the Wattisham Airfield. The photos feature the Prince of Wales decked out in camo gear for the official visit to spend time with the 4 Regiment Army Air Corps and get a closer look at what they do.

For the record, this is also a big day for William as it is his first official visit as Colonel-in-Chief of the Army Air Corps. The role was officially handed over to him by King Charles in May 2024. The role was once expected to go to Prince Harry, who served in the Army Air Corps during his time in Afghanistan, but he stepped down as a senior royal in 2020.

Getting back to Princess Lilibet, the photos Meghan shared are far from any she's shared in recent memory. The first image shows the Suits alum and her daughter cuddling on what appears to be a boat and the second looks to have been taken moments after Lilibet's birth. The kicker here is that the young princess is facing the camera in the first photo, whereas other recent videos and photos have only featured her red hair or her voice.

Meghan captioned the post, "Happy birthday to our beautiful girl! Four years ago today she came into our lives - and each day is brighter and better because of it. Thanks to all of those sending love and celebrating her special day!"
